Today is Tuesday.  We leave on Saturday for our first international trip with 2 kids. I've spent countless hours preparing for this trip.  I've been wanting to start a blog about all this, but I didn't want to start until I could get it "right." Finding the time to edit my works is not something I can do with a just turned 1 year old and an almost 3 year old.  Heck I can barely have time to think.  So before I waste any more time, let's just do this already! 

Here's why I'm writing this blog:

1) To preserve my own family memories for my kids. Traveling pre-kids, I have always try handwritten journal on trips and I always stop journaling on about day 2... Let's see if I can keep this going.  

2) For any mom who is about to take her kids on an international journey... I mean, why reinvent the wheel? Steal some good ideas from me, and learn from my mistakes.  

3) To start a dialogue with other moms about travel with children, especially international travel.  I am American. My husband is Australian.  His parents are French and all of his aunt, uncles, cousins and grandma live in France.  And he travels internationally for his job.  International travel will always be a big part of my life.   

4) To share our travel adventures with Grandma and friends who want to follow along.

5) To document baby and toddler-friendly travel destinations.  There really isn't much out there.
