We arranged a private transfer from Brussels airport to our hotel. As soon as we started going, we were on the freeway and it felt like we were flying. I was clutching both kids car seats to hold them in place. I thought for sure we were about to get in a high speed crash. L started yelling, "Dude, slow down! Slow down! Slow down, dude!" He made quite a scene of it. He would yell out, take a break, and say it some more. He was saying exactly what I was thinking. G and I were dying laughing. I was hoping G would translate and get the driver to slow down. Neither happened.
Later, G told me we were only going 70 but it feels much faster because the lanes and roads are narrower so you feel faster since you're closer to the other vehicles.

L slept about 3 or 4 hours on the flight and didn't nap the day before which meant he should have been royally exhausted by the time we got to our apartment. We arrived close to 10 am, unpacked and by 11:30 am, I was in bed for a nap. M was in bed napping. But, of course, L refused to nap. So finally around 1:30, G decided to take him to the grocery store with him since I was still asleep. When they finally got the the grocery store, L looked at G and said, "Daddy, I'm tired." G said he picked L up, and he was asleep in his arms 30 seconds later. G said all he had in his basket at the time was grapes. He had to do the entire shop carrying L's 30 lbs. of dead weight around the store and then all the way back to our place. He had gone to the store to get basics that we needed for our apartment. He didn't even get half of what we needed. He said the people at the grocery store were so kind and helpful checking him out and bagging his groceries for him.
(We were finally able to wake L from that nap at 7. He was still wired at 11 (meanwhile I fell asleep watching him). I finally got him to sleep around midnight, but not before he went in and woke up M, who is now up screaming and crying. And, of course, G has work for the next 4 days so dealing with jet-lagged nap times and bedtimes of 2 babies will all fall on me.)
